Terrabruga ceramic laboratory was born in Cortona in 1980 when Giulio Lucarini met Giuseppe Marconi, a good retired ceramist and the last representative artist of the ceramic craftsmanship. In the past this art was increasing and encouraged by the sources of the excellent clay in the near ground called terrabruga.

Our popular ceramics called “cocci”, are made with the traditional process that still work in the laboratory in the historic centre of Cortona, where several kind of products was born over the years according to the market needs.

The terrabruga clay is hand worked in all of its phases in the laboratory, in mixing and modelling, baking and decorating the clay.
The furniture or the artistic object will in the very last step “cristallinato” and make waterproof, ready for usability.
